iPhone X vs. iPhone 11 Pro Review
Since the iPhone X came out, many things changed in the iPhone’s overall range of features. Apple reinvented the iPhone design, and it divided Apple’s community of users and fans on the internet when iPhone X came out. The main feature that Apple introduced is the OLED screen. Recent iPhone models have strengthened security. The prices are higher as expected, but that won’t stop iPhone lovers and enthusiasts from buying recent models.
Apple released the iPhone 11 Pro a while after the iPhone X, and it had a striking resemblance to its predecessor. The only differences are the matte glass on the back and triple camera lenses on iPhone 11 Pro.
But there are several differences in the upgrades. Let us compare the features of the two. Is iPhone 11 Pro better, or is it better to stick to iPhone X.
Camera
The iPhone 11 Pro’s camera has better upgrades for sure. The triple-lens camera provides more options, and so can help in taking much more beautiful and sharper shots than iPhone X can. Both have a main 12MP camera. But the 11 Pro has a 12MP selfie camera as well, unlike iPhone X, which has 7MP.
The 11 Pro has an ultra-wide lens that produces dramatic shots. While the iPhone X has a standard wide camera and telephoto lens, the 11 Pro has additional features like improved HDR and advanced Night Mode. 11 Pro also brings a Deep Fusion feature to bring unparalleled levels of detail in the image.
11 Pro’s Night Mode is a standout feature when you compare it to the iPhone X. It provides much better results in low lighting compared to an iPhone X.
Design and Display
You may already know that the design shows striking similarities. iPhone X has a glossy back while the 11 Pro’s back has a matte finish. The overall shape, front, and notch are the same. However, 11 Pro has two new color options, including Gold and Midnight Green.
The glass screen on the 11Pro is tougher than that of the iPhone X. Nonetheless, the glass on the iPhone X is still durable and can last long. The iPhone X’s display isn’t short of quality and has Super Retina, HDR, True Tone, and wide color gamut. Both models have a sharpness of 458 pixels-per-inch.
However, the iPhone 11 Pro has a much brighter screen than iPhone X. If you are not happy with the contrast and brightness ratio of the iPhone X, you may want to upgrade to an iPhone 11 Pro.
The iPhone 11 Pro is heavier at 6.8 ounces, as opposed to the iPhone X, which weighs 6.14 ounces. Hence, the iPhone X is more sleek and lightweight compared to the 11 Pro.
Performance and Battery Life
Apple upgrades its processor every year so that it is smoother, faster, and efficient. The iPhone X has an A11 Bionic processor, which is equipped with two high-performance cores. It is faster than the processors in all previous models. The iPhone 11Pro comes with an A13 Bionic processor, which is obviously better in terms of speed, performance, and graphic display. A13 Bionic is 20% faster and consumes 40% less power than an A11 Bionic chip processor. However, many people expected a greater difference between the processors’ speed. Due to the improved processor capabilities, the iPhone 11 Pro provides a better gaming experience.
The battery life of an iPhone X is 2716mAh, and that of 11 Pro is 3046mAh. The iPhone X’s battery can last for 9 hours and 50 minutes. On the other hand, the battery of an iPhone 11 Pro can last for 10 hours and 24 minutes. Sure, the 11 Pro has a longer battery life, but the 30 minute-difference isn’t all that significant.
Both the phones charge in a quick time. But if you compare the two, iPhone 11 Pro charges much faster. The 18- watt fast charger can charge the battery up to 55% in 30 minutes. The iPhone X has a 15-watt charger, which can charge somewhere around 48-50% in the same amount of time.
If you are happy with iPhone X but not its battery life, there’s no need to upgrade to an iPhone 11 Pro. You can get an additional USB-C to increase the charging capability. It costs less than $100 and is a wiser option than buying a new phone.
Conclusion
The iPhone X and iPhone 11 Pro have many similarities yet differences in feature upgrades. As the iPhone 11 Pro came out almost two years after the iPhone X, it has more upgrades. For some people, these differences may be very significant. But overall, the iPhone 11 Pro is just a modified version of the iPhone X.
The camera on the 11 Pro has several additional features, but those features aren’t must-haves for an iPhone camera. If you want a triple-lens system, extra detailing, and better camera results in low light settings, you may want to get iPhone 11 Pro. Otherwise, the iPhone X’s camera offers great quality as well.
The display is brighter on the 11 Pro. Yet, there are hardly any differences other than that in terms of display and design.
The battery life of both iPhone models isn’t much different either. You can upgrade the battery of the iPhone X with a UBS-C cable.
If you own an iPhone X and are happy with it, there is no need to upgrade to an iPhone 11 Pro because you aren’t missing much. If you are comparing between the two to buy a new phone, you have a wise decision to make. Despite the iPhone 11 having better upgrades, the iPhone X isn’t a bad option. It is still among the top Apple phones and is in high demand. But if it is the features of the iPhone 11 Pro appeal to you, it may be a wise decision to buy it.
